Why Does ICE Expidite Some Illegals and Not Others? Are They Playing Favorites by Direction of the Government?
Question by JJ: Why does ICE expidite some illegals and not others? Are they playing favorites by direction of the Government?
Their own site admits the danger of Illegal Mexicans but they work harder to deport “Other Than Mexican” illegal’s.
Secure Border Initiative
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is achieving these goals through expanded fugitive operations and criminal alien programs, and an expedited removal process enabling ICE to quickly remove “other than Mexican” (OTM) illegal aliens to their home countries.
Since the SBI was implemented in September 2005, close to 4000 non-Mexican aliens were turned over to ICE for detention under expedited removal. Thus far, ICE has removed close to 3,000 of these individuals from the country.
The Secure Border Initiative (SBI) was unveiled November 2, 2005 by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Michael Chertoff in an effort to tackle the serious threat to national security posed when illegal immigrants cross our borders, entering the United States. This multi-year plan is aimed at securing America’s borders and reducing illegal migration.
Border Enforcement Security Task Force (BEST)
Our nation’s southern border has experienced a dramatic surge in cross-border crime and violence in recent years due to intense competition between the remnants of the Mexican drug cartels and criminal smuggling organizations that use predatory tactics to ensure their profits.
Since its inception in July 2005 through Aug. 1, 2007, BEST investigations have resulted in nearly 500 criminal arrests and almost 1,000 immigration arrests. In addition, agents have seized more than 70,000 pounds of marijuana, 1,400 pounds of cocaine, 117 pounds of methamphetamine, 129 pounds of heroin, 315 weapons, 12 grenades, more than 100,000 rounds of ammunition, almost 200 vehicles and approximately $ 8.4 million in U.S. currency.
This year, San Diego BEST agents discovered two underground tunnels located along the international border near Otay Mesa, Calif. Both tunnels were under construction. To date, more than 30 cross-border tunnels have been discovered along the California-Mexico border

Lilly4: you brought up an interesting point about the friends coming into your house and stealling from you.
My kids used to have some friends that I didn’t aprove of but gave them a chance because their home life sucked.
I counght them in my house one day when my whole family was gone. They were in my fridge and had taken soem of my kids CDs.
I called their dad and explained that I would not call the cops but if I cought them in my house again I would whip his A**. They never came back.
Maybe our Government needs to start protecting us and tell Mexico that if it doesn’t start controlling it’s kids we will whip their A**.
If they won’t, perhaps we need to replace outr government.

The OTM initiative just started. And it was LONG over due. Those are the terrorist countries and they USED TO release them when caught to await their deportation hearings. Up to I believe 90% were no shows for those hearings.
