Javier Sesilia’s Caravan of Peace in Arizona – Javier Sisilia is a Mexican poet whose adult son was one of thousands of victims of Mexico’s drug violence. He is leading a caravan across the US to urge Americans to do more to help stop the killings south of the border. He arrived in Phoenix last week and led a candlelight vigil with about 100 people, seen in this video shot by Jorge Martin Melchor. He says the US must take more responsibility for its role in fueling violence, both by stopping the flow of weapons into Mexico and reducing drug use.
